We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in compliance with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) of the Republic of Ghana.

By accessing or using the Platform, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal data as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform.

3.1 Personal Data You Provide

• Identity Data: first name, last name, username, profile photo.
• Contact Data: email address, phone number, mailing address.
• Account Data: role (seeker, property owner, agent), verification status, account preferences.
• Property Data: listing details, descriptions, images, pricing, and location information you submit.

3.2 Data Collected Automatically

• Technical Data: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, time zone, and language preferences.
• Usage Data: pages visited, features used, search queries, listing interactions, and time spent on the Platform.
• Location Data: approximate geographic location derived from your IP address; precise location only with your explicit consent.
• Communication Data: messages sent through the Platform's chat system for service improvement and safety monitoring.

3.3 Data from Third Parties

• Social login providers (Google, Apple): basic profile information when you choose to sign in via these services.
• Payment processors (PayPal): transaction confirmation data (we do not receive or store your payment card details).
• Mapping services: geocoding and address verification data.

Under the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), we process your data on the following legal grounds:

6.1 Types of Cookies We Use

• Essential Cookies: Required for Platform functionality (authentication, session management, language preferences). These cannot be disabled.

• For safety: We may share data when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the safety, rights, or property of our users, the public, or TechFusion Ltd.

Any third-party service provider we engage is required to process your data in accordance with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and our instructions.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data, including:

• Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL protocols.
• Secure password hashing and storage.
• Regular security assessments and vulnerability testing.
• Access controls limiting employee access to personal data on a need-to-know basis.

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Specifically: active account data is retained for the duration of your account; communication logs are retained for up to 24 months after the last interaction; transaction records are retained for the period required by Ghanaian tax law.

When your data is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymise it in accordance with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

Under the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Dwell Finders is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will take steps to delete such data promptly.

Unauthorised automated collection, harvesting, or scraping of personal data or any other data from the Dwell Finders Platform is strictly prohibited. Such activities violate the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), the Electronic Transactions Act, 2008 (Act 772), and the Copyright Act, 2005 (Act 690).

We employ technical measures to detect and block unauthorised automated access. Violators may be subject to legal action, including claims for damages and injunctive relief under applicable Ghanaian law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision.

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana, including the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). Any disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.
